A compilation of some of my best work during Dynamic Sketching 2.

Last redesign:The king’s platform. A floating ship that is carried by an animal. I wanted to create something inspired by asian culture. The platform is meant to be very slow and carries the king himself with all his guards and servants. This is a scene when the old brother goes to meet with him.

Week 7 redesign:

This week I decided to flesh out the world I imagine for my redesign of The Singing Bone story. I brainstormed a little bit and finally settled for the tavern, which is where the older brother goes to get drunk, and also where the young brother meets him to tell his tales.

Studying airplanes this week. Here are some sketches that I like :)

Upper arms studies, along with the muscles surrounding the scapula. Having some fun with gesture drawing.

Weekly redesign:

The old brother. Crafty, sneaky, jealous and malicious, the old brother wanders the woods at night, more often than not. Once he learns that the young brother successfully killed the undead boar, he murders him later, buries him under the bridge and brings the boar’s carcass by himself to the king.

Some tank studies. Pew pew.

Legs, legs, legs.

My redesign for the week:
The young brother. Pure, kind-hearted and simple, he is an alchemist and a scholar. He is dedicated to find the right elixir that will cure his father. He is the one that kills the undead boar with the black spear in the woods. I have detailed a little bit of my design process here.

I studied some ancient cars at the museum on monday.
